The new Distressed-Timber finish A timeless timber finish which is giving this old-school material new life.
Moving on from smooth and lacquered timber looks, IHS have released a new Distressed Timber finish which can be used as an alternative to laminate and other paneling finishes.
The more natural and raw looking wooden finish allows for greater uniqueness and character, Bringing a warmth and softness to otherwise ‘hard’ and sometimes unintentionally ‘sterile’ interior finishes.

The Xilo is a table that feels like home.
The Xilo table originated through IHS’ collaboration with the Hyatt Andaz Hotel Maui: the brief was to develop a meeting table that that doesn’t look like a meeting table but performs like one.
“The hotel did not want its meeting rooms to have the impersonal business air that is typical of practically every function room in a major hotel,” says Nick Polidoros, Director of IHS Global Alliance.
What resulted was the Xilo: a table with built-in steel for strength but clad in light oak timber veneer for a warm, residential-style aesthetic. Tables were designed to reflect the Andaz brand philosophy of natural and vibrant living spaces where travelers can indulge in their own sense of comfort and style while being met with attentive service.
Essentially, the Xilo reflected what Hyatt Andaz wanted to offer to their guests: a home away from home.
